The guide

Natural texture, without the weight

Stone-effect panels are lightweight interlocking panels moulded from real stone, then coloured by hand. On the wall they give the depth and shadow of stone, but they weigh a fraction of the real thing and fit in a day, with no wet trades.

They work best where texture can be seen: a chimney breast, a media wall, a reception wall or a bar. Light grazing down the wall from LED strips or downlights brings out every edge.

Panels come in cream, honey, grey and slate tones and in different formats, from neat ashlar blocks to rough split-face stone.

How we fit it

The details that make it look built in

  • Panels are staggered so the pattern never repeats in an obvious way.
  • Corner pieces wrap external corners for a solid, realistic look.
  • Joints are finished with colour-matched filler so they disappear.
  • Clean cut-outs around TVs, inset fires and sockets.
  • Optional LED wall-washers to bring out the texture after dark.

FAQ

Stone-effect walls — your questions

Can’t see your question? Ask us — we reply quickly.

Do stone-effect panels look real?

Good-quality panels are moulded from real stone, so the texture is authentic. Careful fitting — staggered joints, corner pieces and filled seams — is what makes them convincing up close.

Can stone-effect panels go around a fireplace?

Yes, with the clearances that the fire manufacturer and the panel manufacturer specify. They’re especially popular around electric inset fires on media walls.

Can you mount a TV on stone-effect panels?

Yes. We plan the TV position and add solid fixings behind the panels so the bracket is secure.

Can they be used outside?

Some panels are suitable for sheltered outdoor areas such as covered patios. We’ll check the product for your space.

How are the joins hidden?

Panels interlock, joints are staggered and any visible seams are filled and colour-matched.

Are they easy to keep clean?

Yes — dust with a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals on painted finishes.
